Carlo also practices in the specialized area of construction industry labour law, drawing on the valuable experience he gained in a local trade union's in-house legal department, where he worked for two and a half years prior to joining the firm.
Carlo was called to the Bar in July 2003, after obtaining his Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen's University and articling at another union-side law firm.
Prior to law school, Carlo studied History and English Literature at the University of Toronto. He then spent a term studying in Siena, Tuscany, and worked for two years in the education field, leading Canadian students on tours of Italy.
Carlo comes from a large extended family of union members and activists.
