Catherine is a tenacious litigator who excels in legally and factually complex cases that impact the lives of working people.

She maintains a broad practice that includes grievance arbitration, judicial reviews, labour injunctions, as well as civil and constitutional litigation. In her employment practice, she regularly advises and acts for employees on issues relating to wrongful dismissal, human rights, workplace investigations, and other issues.

Catherine is an active member of the community. She serves on the board of directors for IAVGO Community Legal Clinic and is also an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she teaches Legal Research & Writing. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.

Before joining UPFH, Catherine practiced at a leading litigation boutique in Toronto and clerked for the judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She graduated with honours from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she won prizes for oral advocacy in the Gale Cup moot, and academic prizes in labour and employment, civil liberties, constitutional law, and other areas. She also holds a Bac. es Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean, where she graduated with the Médaille d’or des Pères Oblats.
